Within the initial phase of Stage 3, Year 5 students will strive to refine and consolidate the numeracy and literacy strategies and skills they have developed at the end of Stage 2. Through investigations, research and collaborative discussions, our students will question, construct and share their perceptions, opinions and thoughts about their world and community, whilst appreciating, respecting and valuing the opinions of their peers. The overall goal of Year 5 is to holistically strengthen and support our students’ development within all core curriculum subjects, alongside their social and emotional intelligences, in a positive and challenging classroom and school community.
