Engaging with Asia is a one of our school targets. One of our classes, 5M, is involved in a buddy project with a class in South Korea. Students are exchanging information about their respective countries via video conferences. The video conferences provide students an opportunity to share information and develop understanding through presentations prepared by the students. Email links have also been established between the students. This is an exciting project for students in both countries.
Kent Road Public School is linked with a sister school in Shanghai. Students engage with our sister school and benefit from the prospect of learning about, and through our interaction with, Shanghai Pudong Yangjing Experimental School.
All Kent Road students learn about neighbouring countries both directly through planned units of class work as well as indirectly through school initiatives such as Harmony Day.
